The audience section is probably the most powerful section of your set up.
Here you will set up your conversion tracking rules and audience targeting both 1st and 3rd party.
Conversion Audiences
Here you will see a list of the conversion pixels/audiences you have set up under your account. You can set your line item to track every conversion, against up to 5 of these pixels (by adding to convert multiple times) or to only track the first conversion we see for any user (by adding to convert once).
Drag and Drop your selections into the relevant boxes or use the + button to add to ‘convert multiple times’, and the – button to add to ‘convert once’.
You can use the search bar to filter and locate your pixels/audiences easily. Note: convert once means that once we see that user in the converted audience bucket, they will be excluded from any further targeting, meaning no ad spend is wasted on them. This is useful for things like single registrations; or trying to drive new customers.
Server to Server Tracking
Server to Server Tracking functionality is also available for app based tracking without the use of pixels. Note please contact your AM for more information about the setup of this
Retargeting Audiences
Again, here you will see all the audiences you have set up under your account for targeting or exclusion (including your conversion audiences).
Again Drag and Drop your selections into the relevant boxes or use the + button to include and the – button to exclude. You can add as many audiences as you like on your line item. You can use the search bar to filter and locate your audiences easily.
Note There is also a csv file upload/download function here which can be very useful if you are working with a large volume of audience segments – please contact your AM for support here.
Build Audience From AdView
Here you can allocate an already set up audience/pixel to collect all users who see impressions from this line item. You can then use this to target those users again later (maybe with another message).
Note This functionality can also be useful as a workaround for conditional retargeting, when a client will not allow you to retarget anyone other than your own users.
Behavioural/Demographic Targeting
Here you will find 3rd party data segments available for targeting.
We have partnered with leading data exchange Lotame, to provide access to thousands of declared, highly curated audience segments. The price stated next to each segment will be added onto your CPM cost (Admedo does not take margin on this). If multiple segments are added, you will only be charged for the highest in price. For example, if you add three segments to your line item - two priced at $0.25 each and one at $0.75, only a charge of $0.75 will be added to your CPM.
Note But.. 3rd party data comes at an extra CPM cost (shown in the platform) and so really needs to over perform compared to other strategies to pay for itself. Generally speaking, we do not usually see this happening, it is no-where near as powerful for your campaign as your own 1st party data can be.
This brings to an end the audience section of your campaign
