Setting up a campaign in the Admedo platform can be completed in a few simple steps.  In this video, you will be taken through the necessary elements you need to complete to set up a campaign and it's first line item. You will also find a written version below.

Before you can start to set up your first campaign you need to have set up the relevant advertiser.  This may have been done for you when your account login was created.  If not, you can click here for more details on how to do this.

Getting Started - Setting up your first Campaign written summary

You can create a new campaign at the top of the CAMPAIGNS screen, by simply adding a name into the box, searching for and selecting the advertiser your campaign is for, selecting your currency if you have more than one applied to your account, and clicking the green ‘+’ button.

From here you will be asked to select your first line item template type – Display and In-App or Video as whilst they follow a similar setup workflow, things like inventory and optimisation strategies differ.

Once inside your setup workflow you will see your campaign name as set on the previous screen at the top (you can edit this again here if required by simply clicking on it).

Next to this you will see the advertiser account name - this is also a quick link to view that account if you need to check any of your settings there.

To the right of this you will see a running Total Campaign Budget that will populate as your line items are setup and saved.

The Line Item setup is organised into concertina sections with an IO like structure. You can click on the pale blue title line of each of these to collapse them and anywhere on the block to expand them. When collapsed you will see a brief overview of all of your settings within that section.

All changes you make in the platform auto-save but the things you need to minimally set on your line item to ensure this process starts are:

- The Line Item Name

- The Budget

- And the Flight Dates

Once these have been input you will see the auto save process kick off to the right of the ‘Required for Launch’ tiles.

From this point your line item will be saved as a draft under your campaign and you can continue with your set up now; or come back later to complete it.

You will also see the tiles at the top get ticked off as you complete the elements required for launch.

You can also use these as quick buttons to take you directly to those items in the setup workflow.

The three other things your line item minimally needs for launch are:

- Enough Credit in your account to launch the budget you have set

- Your Geo Targeting Selection to be added

- Your Creatives to be added

Again, you will see these tiles at the top get checked off indicating you have everything required for launch.  Once they are all completed the submit for approval button will light up in green allowing you to send your creatives through to us for approval.  As soon as these are approved your line item will go live.

In order to launch your campaign, adding more credit into your account and approving creatives are the only things that require Admedo’s input.

If you already have enough credit to cover your setup, and you are adding creatives that have previously been approved by us, the button will automatically change to ‘Go Live’ enabling you to launch the line item immediately yourself.

Over on the right-hand side of your screen, you will find a block for the line item you have just set up.

Line items are used to split out the different strategies for your campaign, like prospecting and retargeting.  They can also be used for testing different types of targeting, this is better than layering everything onto the same line item as this can restrict your delivery.

In this section you can use the button above to add a brand new line to this campaign

or you can roll over the block and from the pop out menu on the right side.

Select the ‘clone’ option to make an exact copy of this line item you have already setup. This will replicate all elements in your setup except for attaching the creatives, just to ensure this isn’t launched by mistake as an exact duplicate.

A tip for using the clone function is to ensure you have set up all the shared line item variables before you use this, that way you will only need to input or change the unique element for each strategy. This will streamline your setup as much as possible.

You will also find an archive and a delete button here. You can delete an un-launched line item if it is no longer needed.  If the line item has been previously launched and has spend allocated against it you cannot delete it, but you can archive it to hide it from your view.
